미남이시네요 (原来是美男啊 = You're/He's Beautiful = Minamishineyo)

I am generally not a big fan of Korean drama, and especially not 偶像剧 for all that matters. The no. of Korean drama series that I would consider "liking" can be counted on one hand. Not that I have anything against Korean series, but I always find them too draggy (think, Taiwanese drama). However, this particular series I recently got hooked on is a 16-episode series, which is considered short. And it's the first time I bothered to follow all episodes (even 《面包王》 didn't induce me to do so). Usually, I only start watching the later part of the series if I do get interested, but never follow all.
How did I know about the show? I happened to catch it showing on Channel U one night and decided to keep watching (also thanks to LeTV). I haven't actually finished it yet, but I don't know if I should look forward to that. Anyway, you can read about the storyline here.

Why do I like it? I also don't know. Maybe because it's light-hearted and fast-paced and the way it makes me laugh and cry. And I think it's also because of the music. Even though I don't understand Korean, they sound good to me...maybe that makes me try to feel the music more.
As for who I was rooting for? As sad as I was for Shin Woo (新禹) who's super nice and I would say maybe better-looking (tough fight, but maybe Tae Kyung (泰京) too "pretty"), I preferred Tae Kyung, the 嘴硬心软 one (I think I became a fan).

I don't know all the songs, but I've ordered the soundtrack through HMV. It's sold out, and being quite old (2009), hopefully there are still stocks available. So here are some highlights of the songs I like from the show.Hey, I learnt some Korean from the songs!

The theme song 여전히 ("依然"/Still)

말도 없이 (Without Words)

어떡하죠 (Otokajo/What Should I Do) Sounds so heartbreaking. Melt ah.

There are others too, like 약속 (約定=Promise), 바보라서 (因為是傻瓜=Song for a Fool) and "Goodbye".

I think I'm sounding crazy and it's quite unlike me. Who knows, maybe I'll get over this after a few weeks.

Which was written by a man?

Caught my first "Million Dollar Money Drop" game show tonight and for 1 pair of participants, their 1st question was:
"Which of these was written by a man?"

1) Joy Luck Club
2) Pride and Prejudice
3) Frankenstein
4) The Jungle Book

I thought it was a big giveaway as most of my household and possibly a no. of my friends would know that too. I knew the answer straightaway - Jungle Book which was written by Rudyard Kipling.
Anyway, the 1st, Joy Luck Club, confirm woman write one, although I don't know who (at least they knew the obvious). No. 2 was by Jane Austen. How could they not know who wrote this classic? If they have not read it, there had been TV shows and films based on it. No. 3 was by Mary Shelley.

Half a million dollars gone down the chute (literally) just like that; they placed $450K on Frankenstein (well, maybe they thought it was horror, so might be man) and I think $100K on Pride and Prejudice.

But the other 2 questions were not as easy though, where they lost the rest of the money.
