It seemed like divine timing that today, as I was going for service, I had a sudden conviction to find something to serve in church. I know I've been talking about volunteering, but there was never the decision to really go forth and do it.
And with that conviction today, I was surprised by an announcement in the bulletin that the music & creative ministry was recruiting. I was like "oh my, is it God's will?".
Of course, if I saw it and didn't take action, then no point right? So by faith, I filled up the form and dropped it off at the counter. Well, not sure if I'll get called up. But if I do, then I know it's time.

It's good to use your God-given talents to serve Him. What exactly is the nature of your potential role in the music & creative ministry?
ReplyDeleteNot sure. As they gave many options and I think they are pretty open to any role. Some options included singer, musician, photographer, scriptwriter, stage manager, etc.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't sure whether I should put singer or musician coz I'm really half-past-six in these...in the end I wrote "amateur songwriter". Anyway, I did indicate that I had written some songs and learnt a little bit of piano and violin in the past.
I'm sure many people will want to apply to be a part of the ministry, so if it's really God's will & timing, then no matter what I put, it will work. All it takes is making that step first.
PS: looks like I really need to take a refresher course in playing the violin already.
