I liked the songs as they reminded me of some rock & roll but with a distinct Australian flavour. It was very fun actually. There was a part where he asked us to stamp & clap to the beats, but you can't clap & stamp at the same time, so it's 'clap stamp clap stamp...' It sounded easy but was actually very hard to do!
Then he sang this really sweet song called "The Wedding Song" with his female vocalist, that he wrote for his father when he re-married. It sounded so personal as he did it unplugged, i.e. just plain guitar playing & singing, which made it even more touching.
He ended off with La, a sing-along kind of song where he invited the audience to join him on stage or to just stand. It was so fun as everyone sang & dance together.
Had a great time! I must admit the songs sounded better live. Of course, there was his deep voice...
Managed to get him to autograph my CD sleeve and took a pic with him. :)
